Welcome to our Crib Festival

Displayed throughout the church you will find over 30 Nativity scenes and characters from around the world.  All of them belong to the church or have been loaned by members of the church, their families and friends.  Groups of smaller ones are displayed against backgrounds that have been painted for us by George Thompson.

The tour begins to the left as you go through the door.

Christmas Fair and Crib Festival at West Kirby Methodist Church

The Christmas season starts for West Kirby Methodist Church with the Christmas Fair and Crib Festival from 10.30 to 3.30 on Saturday, 26th November.

Nativity scenes from around the world will be on show in the church, in all different styles and materials.  Local schools are also being involved in creating scenes and well known Wirral artist George Thompson is assisting with the background scenery.

Seasonal music will be played in the church throughout the festival, with contributions from local organists, hand-bell ringers and a “Salvation Army Band” in miniature.

In the Church Hall, there will be stalls including cards, calendars, cakes, preserves, toys and games, and the Wirral Scout Post.    There will also be lots of activities for children including ‘Splat the Rat’ and the making of Christmas decorations.

Admission to the hall will be £1 for adults and 50p for children, which will include mince pies, shortbread, tea or coffee.  Soup and rolls will be served at lunchtime.
